Morocco Grand Tour from Casablanca, Itinerary:

Day 1: Casablanca – Marrakech

The 10 Days Morocco grand Tour from Casablanca departs from Casablanca to Marrakech through the highway. Upon arrival, you’ll have half a day of free time to discover the vibrant Red City. Marrakech has gained its title as the Red City because the shades of Red are among the most dominating colors in the medina of Marrakech. You’ll have the time you want to get to know the city on your own. We highly suggest that you take walk in Guilize (the new city of Marrakech). After you feel like enough, we can take you to your accommodation at a friendly hotel.

 

Day 2: Marrakech – Marrakech

The 2^nd day is dedicated to exploring Marrakech on a guided trip. But before we finish, we will explore the landmarks of Marrakech. We will go on a guided tour to the Bahia palace, saadian Tombs, and Koutoubia mosque. After that, we will explore the charming Jemaa el-Fna Square and the Souks. Then, we will end our guided tour by visiting the luscious Majorel gardens.

Marrakech is a city with a thousand faces. There’s a lot to do in there. From historical landmarks to a vibrant nightlife, Marrakech offers a wholesome package of culture and entertainment, not to mention the unmatched cuisine choices.

Day 3: Marrakech – Ait ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Upon waking up and having a hearty breakfast. We will drive across the mountainous landscapes of Tizi N’Tichka, which is more than 2 kilometers above sea level. We can stop by some villages and landscapes along the way in case you want to explore something. For example, at Telouet, we might stop to explore the Kasbah of Pacha Glaoui, who are notorious for his wealth, power, and evil.

Before reaching Ouarzazate, we will explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Benhaddou Kasbah via Ounila Valley.

The latter site is a fortified city that captures the sights with its unique buildings. Ait Benhaddou is very popular as filming sight for Hollywood blockbusters.  After we reach Ouarzazate, we will stay at a nice hotel for the night where we can relax and have something to eat or drink.

  

Day 4: Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges

In the morning, we will explore the luscious oasis of Skoura, one of the biggest oases in Morocco. From there, we will head to Dades Valley across a road marked with its palm groves and Kasbahs. The warm colors of the landscapes are surely something to admire.

The journey will take us to Tinghir after that. The latter town is one of the most important urban areas of the region. Then, we will head to Toudra Gorges to witness the beauty of the highest canyons in Morocco. We will stay at a fancy hotel or an auberge.

Day 5: Todra Gorges – Merzouga Camel Trek Night in Erg Chebbi Tent

The first thing we do after waking up is exploring Toudra for some time. If you’re a fan of climbing, we highly recommend you try climbing the canyons of Toudra. When we finish our exploration of Toudra, we will head to Tinjdad and Ksar Touroug, which are two desert towns with beautiful oases. Shortly after that, we will go to Merzouga, the town of dunes.

In a hotel at Merzouga, we will leave our buggage before we go on a caravan trip to the depths of the desert. We will head to the desert camps in the middle of Erg Chebbi Dunes, where we will spend the night.

Erg Chebbi dunes are all that you imagine when you picture the exotic deserts, especially when riding a camel. We will spend time with nomads who can keep us entertained with their spiritual desert music. Under the super-starry night sky.

Day 6: Camel Ride Back to Merzouga – Midelt

At the beginning of the day, we will leave Merzouga and head to Rissani to explore the market that used to host sub-Saharan caravans. After that, we will travel across many cities like Errachidia, Erfoud, and Aoufous before we leave the Sahara region. Traveling across Ziz Valley, we will head to the apple city of Morocco: Midelt. We will spend the rest of the day in a Kasbah as it is programed in this Morocco grand tour from Casablanca.

Day 7: Midelt – Fez

After breakfast in this lovely city, we will go to the Middle Atlas forests at Azrou and Ifrane where we can meet Barbary Monkeys.

At Fez, we will head to the ancient Medina, where we will explore the medieval landmarks and stay at a traditional riad for the night.

Day 8: Fez – Fez

After breakfast, we will go out to the medieval city of Fez to explore the historical landmarks.  We will explore places like Madrasa EL Bouinania, Al Quaraoiwiyin mosque and university, The South Tower, Nejjarine Square, the Royal Palace, Tanners, Jewish quarter and more. The latter landmarks are considered World Heritage by the UNESCO. Al Quaraoiwiyin mosque and university for example has fascinating history, as the first university in history.

We will enjoy walking around the maze-like streets of the medina; we can do some shopping in Fez while in the medina. At night, we can go to the modern parts of Fez to dine before we go back to the riad for the night.

Day 9: Fes – Casablanca

After a hearty Moroccan breakfast (if you like to try the Fez’ special with khleea with eggs), the Morocco grand tour takes us to Casablanca. We will go to Hassan II Mosque, which is one of the most sophisticated religious buildings in the world. Located near at the edge of the coast, Hassan II Mosque is truly a wonderful giant architectural landmark. After exploring Casa for a little while, we can go to a hotel.

Day 10: Casablanca airport

Breakfast and transfer to the airport as the Morocco grand tour from Casablanca ends during this day.
