Tour from Fes to Marrakech, Itinerary:

Day 1: Fes

Before you start your tour from Fes to Marrakech, our Morocco Safaris tour guide will meet you with a warm welcoming to explor Fez Eljadid (new town). In the new town, you will try the delicious Moroccan cuisine before check-in in a Riad.

 

Day 2: Fes Sightseeing

The second day will be devoted to exploring Fez sightseeing. Fez is one of the prominent imperial cities in Morocco. Idris the first was the one who built Fez in the 12th-century. Many cultural and religious sites in Fez deserve to be visited. Fez is one of the biggest cities in the Arab world. Places such as Madrassa, souks (traditional markets), Alkarouine (the first established university in the world), Mosques, ancient squares, tanneries, pottery artisans, exhibition halls and castles are points of attraction for visitors. Fez is the most craftsman capital of Morocco. The overnight will be spent at your accommodation.

Day 3: Fes & Merzouga

After the breakfast at the Riad, the tour continues driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains. On our way, you will stop at the beautiful city of Ifrane (Switzerland of Morocco). Next, we will have a break enjoying the largest wood, Cedar Forest, in Morocco. Resuming the journey, you will travel through Errachidia, where you will enjoy watching the tall palm trees and the beautiful oasis before we reach Erfoud. It is where you can enjoy work-shops fossils.

After we arrive at Merzouga, we will head to the Sahara desert where we will camp and have dinner in a Berber tent.

Day 4: Merzouga

Before the tour is proceeded to explore the Erg Chebbi (the largest dunes in Morocco) after having breakfast. We’ll visit the famous village of Khamlia. During the day, you’ll meet and try a special camel trek to camp spending the night under endless stars. A traditional dinner will be served in a nomad tent. You will also listen to drums being played.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley & Ouarzazate

The fifth day of this tour from Fes to Marrakech we  head to Rissani as our next destination after breakfast. Old Sijilmassa in Rissani is famous for it was a place where caravans from the Sahara used to meet. We’ll head to Tinghir’s desert spring which an amazing place to visit. On our journey, we will cross the wonderful Todra River where we will have the chance to visit the Road of Thousand Kasbahs before we arrive at Ouarzazate. The Hollywood of Africa as Ouarzazate is nicknamed has served as a location to film many movies including Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, and the Mumy. The following place will be the Kasbah of Tourirt. The accommodation will be at a Riad.

 

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou & Marrakech

Accompanied by our professional Morocco Sfaris guide, you will be driven to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou which the most breathtaking Kasbah in Morocco with its mysterious architecture. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Before we continue the tour traveling through the highest pass in Morocco Tiziz N’Tichka, we will visit Kasbah of Telouet. Tizi NiTichka pass is 2260 meters high over the High Atlas Mountains.

After our arrival at Marrakech, we’ll visit the large square of Jamaa El Fnaa where you will see the storytellers, snake charmers and many other entertaining other things that locals and tourists enjoy. Very interesting and full of life place!

Day 7: Marrakech city excursion

After having breakfast, the seventh day of the tour proceeds to explore Marrakech sightseeing. Marrakech is also called the Red City because of its red walls. It was built in the 11th-century by Almoravids and Saharan nomads. With a local guide, you will visit the iconic Menara, the Kasbah, Saadian Tombs, the breathtaking Majorelle Gardens and the large Koutoubia mosque and tower. You’ll also have the chance to stroll through the interesting alleyways and the traditional streets of Djemaa El Fnaa. Your accommodation will at a traditional Riad.

Day 8: Marrakech to Airport
