Imperial cities Morocco Tour, Itinerary:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL TRANSFER TO YOUR HOTEL :

Today is your first day of the imperial cities Morocco tour. At the airport Mohammad V airport in Casablanca, you will receive a warm welcoming before we transfer you to the hotel. You will have enough free time to explore the downtown and the Atlantic ocean.

The overnight is at your accommodation.

P.S: This day could be excluded in case you want to begin your tour on the next day. We will meet you at the airport to start your eight days tour from Casablanca.

 

DAY 2: CASABLANCA – RABAT :

Breakfast is served at the hotel before we start exploring the commercial capital in Morocco. The imperial cities Morocco tour begins with visiting the second large mosque in the world Hassan 2 Mosque. It is the 2nd largest mosque in the World. It can contain over 25.000 worshippers. After that, we will visit Mohamed V square where most of the administrations are located. The tour continues by driving toward Rabat city (the capital of Morocco) where we will visit Hassan Tower which was built in the 12th-century. the still-standing 11th-century Ordains Kasbah is the next place we will visit.  It is established with an amazing Andalusian style. It has a fascinating architecture overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Salé.

DAY 3: RABAT – MEKNES – VOLUBILIS – FES :

Eating breakfast at your accommodation is followed by traveling to visit Meknes which is one of the Moroccan imperia citie. In Meknes, you will visit the famous Bab Mansour which is a gateway to the Medina. You’ll also have a visit to Sahrij Basin, Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, souks (authentic markets), and the amazing alleys of the ancient city.

Volubilis is our destination after having lunch. It is the most prominent Roman Empire ruins in the whole of Morocco. After that, we will head to visit the holy town Moulay Idriss which is not far from Volubilis. It is a town built over the rocky hills. It is important where a religious festival is held yearly.

After we finish exploring Volubilis, we will head to Fez where we spend the night at the hotel/riad.

 

DAY 4: FES SIGHTSEEING :

Today’s program of the imperial cities Morocco tour is devoted to explor the cultural and religious capital of Morocco. During our journey, you will explore its interesting souks, alleyways, and ancient monuments. Royal Place which has seven gates. It is regarded as an astonishing model of modern restoration. The following place is the Riads headquarter which is the first-ever one was built in Morocco.

Proceeding the tour, we will visit other cultural and historical sites including Al Qaraouine University (the first established university in the world), the Tanneries, and the Attarine museum. After having lunch, we will continue our journey to explore Fez Elbali (the old town), which is a UNESCO World Heritage, where you visit Madrassa Bouanania, stroll through the alleyways, Bab Boujlould which is the main entrance of Fez city.

For those who like shopping, Fez El Bali is rich in local craft-work with brilliant Moroccan slippers, leather-work, metalwork, rainbow-glass lamps, and tiles displayed over the district. We will head to visit the new town where we may have a drink, in the afternoon.

You’ll spend the overnight at the hotel/riad.

 

DAY 5: FES – IFRANE – AZROU – BENI MELLAL :

The tour proceeds to visit the Cedar Forest (the largest woodland in Morocco) where different kinds of birds and Berber apes live. It is located between Azrou town and Ifrane.

Continuing your imperial cities Morocco tour, we will travel through the gorgeous landscapes of the area. On the way, you will appreciate the beautiful villages of the Atlas Mountains. It is the most colorful area for Berber people, particularly Zayn’s tribe. We’ll stop for such a significant number of places with local people working in their lands and ladies’ house-working.

Having a break for some trekking in Berber towns. The following stop is Bni-mellal to see Ein Asrdon Garden and its renowned Kasbah. This Kasbah is situated over slopes offering a sentimental landscape on the area and an exquisite sunset. The overnight at the hotel/riad.

 

DAY 6: BENI MELLAL – OUZOUD CASCADE – MARRAKECH :

In the first part of the day, you will appreciate the lovely landscape of the Middle Atlas after having breakfast at your accommodation. The next step will be leaving the area traveling through the Atlas Mountains to a place that is known for the Zayan tribe where Berber people farm their lands and ladies making breeds. Here, we will be able to observe people’s lifestyles. In Ouzoud Cascades, you will have lunch and experience hiking in the beautiful lacs. A short time later, we will drive to Marrakech.

The overnight is spent at a riad. This how the sixth day of the tour comes to an end.

 

DAY 7: MARRAKECH SIGHTSEEING / EXPLORING MARRAKECH :

The seventh day of the imperial cities Morocco tour is devoted to exploring the interesting sightseeing and the cultural monuments of Marrakech. With a local, you will be accompanied to visit Koutoubia Mosque (a still-standing 12th-century), and Majorelle gardens that were created by the French artist in 1923. The journey proceeds to visit the Saadian Tombs that return to the 16th-century.

We will leave Marrakech towards Essaouira after having breakfast at the accommodation. Essaouira, which offers fascinating views overlooking the fishing port. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is a very ancient seaside city. Its seaport fortress returns to the eighteenth century.
